This question and answer book is the perfect resource guide for equipping individuals with key information about everyday money matters.
Questions and answers deal with 100+ of the most-asked questions from The Dave Ramsey Showeverything from budget planning to retirement planning or personal buying matters, to saving for college and charitable giving. This is Dave in his most popular formatask a specific question, get a specific answer.
Whether reading this 160 mini-book, listening to Ramsey on his radio show, or attending one of Ramseys workshops, his bottom line always comes down to some very basic premises: (1) all credit cards are harmful; (2) people are in financial messes because they overspent, didnt plan, and lacked discipline; (3) everyone needs a fallback position of three to six months of reserve cash, food, and other necessities; (4) the outside economic picture has little influence on individual households that have learned to save, invest, budget, and tithe; and (5) there is nothing wrong with being incredibly wealthy so long as one uses his or her wealth appropriately.
Sections of this book deal with brass tacks issues such as bankruptcy, divorce, estate planning, saving for college, and contract negotiations (dont become a co-signer is his main point on this last issue). However, to delve deeply into these areas Ramsey has longer, more explicit books, such as his best-seller Total Money Makeover. -- Dr. Dennis E. Hensley, Christian Book Previews.com

Denise Green5 Stars Out Of 5August 3, 2010Denise GreenI read the first version of "The Money Answer Book" which was written before the 2008 economic downturn and it was very relevant at that time. Now Dave Ramsey has updated key elements to keep pace with current markets. Both editions are extremely helpful if you are interested in eliminating debt and staying out of debt. As before, this edition also includes valuable pages to use as worksheets for your own personal data. I urge you to use these pages as you will be shocked out of your state of denial when you see it written down in black and white how much you are really spending each month! The most important part for me is that Dave is a Christian and strongly advocates tithing. My finances improved when I committed to tithing. Trust in God to provide for your needs and take the leap of faith by giving your first fruits to His ministry.
Teddy GAge: 35-44Gender: female3 Stars Out Of 5June 3, 2010Teddy GAge: 35-44Gender: femaleBy the author of Financial Peace and Total Money Makeover, The Money Answer Book includes some of the most popular questions from Dave Ramsey's radio show and his answers regarding the path to becoming debt-free and financially secure.Having read Total Money Makeover, I think that this book contained a lot of information I'd already gleaned from TMM. However, I did find a few interesting questions that I hadn't come across before. The idea of a Wants list and a Needs list was a surprisingly simple idea, yet one I hadn't considered previously.Overall, the book doesn't seem to do well as a stand-alone - due to the format of questions and answers, there isn't necessarily a smooth flow from topic to topic, and there are several areas where Dave repeats information in multiple answers. This repetition does serve to stress what he finds important, however. I think that this book may serve as a primer of sorts to get people interested in Dave's other works or radio show.I received this book for free as part of Thomas Nelson Publishers' Booksneeze book review program.

Josh PhelpsBerea, KyAge: 35-44Gender: male5 Stars Out Of 5May 23, 2010Josh PhelpsBerea, KyAge: 35-44Gender: maleThe Money Answer Book By Dave Ramsey is an easy to read guide on getting your finances in order. If you have ever asked the question, Where does all my money go? Or if you have ever wondered where all your money went when you look at how much you made in a year, then this book is the one for you. Finances are a huge distraction to living freely each and every day. Finances are also the one subject that people are the most unwilling to talk about. They are considered taboo to most people. You can ask me anything except about my money. Now this book is not as in depth as the others from Dave Ramsey, however this is a good book to leave on your living room table where guests can read it, or browse through it. Each chapter stands alone so that you dont have to read the whole book at once. There are worksheets that you can fill out to help get a better understanding of where YOUR money is going and how you can better have control of your finances. Having gone through Financial Peace University, this book just serves as a reminder to the principles taught in the class. I would recommend this book to anyone who would a better understanding of their finances.
