Received my James Ussher with CD. The CD is a great aid along with the book. I put down my Matthew Henry, and started reading Ussher, and looks like I can't stop! I'll have to get back to Matthew Henry when I finish James Ussher now.
This is an excellent product, and should be in every Christians library. It is primarily and most obviously useful in helping the student of scripture develop an understanding of the big picture of scripture. Also and equally important, studying this book or just routinely referring to it will strengthen the Christians belief in the inerrancy of scripture by showing us how to understand and defend the genealogies and chronologies therein. Scripture is constantly under attack from within the church and from without. It is a christian duty to be skilled in handling the scriptures. Ussher's Annals of the world is a valuable tool in the Christian library. The husband and wife who put this version together did such a good job on this important project.
I bought this book for our Sunday School teacher, who loves Old Testament studies and researches many books for information, teaching us all about the times, people and places in the part of scripture we are studying.
I think he loved the book, especially the maps. My husband has a paper-cover version without the CD. This book has an astonishing amount of information.
