This animated film about the death and resurrection of our Lord held the attention of the children in our Junior Church from the first minute, until the last. It is true to the Bible and excellent quality. I thoroughly recommend it. (Older children and even adults can benefit by it!)

I previewed several Christian Easter videos for the third, fourth and fifth graders to view on Easter Sunday. I chose this one. I liked the quality of the dialogue. The video included a character who was the son of one of the disciples. This character did not detract from the gospel message and probably serves to make the events more relatable to older children. I like the fact that the video ended with the Great Commission and Ascension, and with the narrator explaining that Jesus spent 40 days on the Earth following the Resurrection teaching the disciples. I think that is an important point of the gospel story that is often overlooked when teaching children.

In my opinion, videos need to engage children quickly or children will quickly become disinterested. This video has a long historical explanation at the beginning that I thought would be lost on the children, so I skipped it. I also didn't think that the historical explanation was well stated. Additionally, the credits follow the historical explanation at the beginning of the video. Consequently, I skipped the credits too, so the children could start immediately with the story and not lose interest before the story began. The animation was of a style to which older children are accustomed, but the animation wasn't as crisp and clean as I would have preferred. This video was rated for children ages 4-8 years old, but I think it is more appropriate for the older age group, and would increase the oldest age range to 11 years old. I would recommend this video for older children.

Great video. Helped my little ones bring the Bible to life. We have only had the video a week and they have watched it at least 4 times.

Great. My kids love it. It keeps them entertained at the same time they are learning about Jesus. Love it.

Wonderful presentation, wish it could oome in a real life movie, but for an animated film, just great, we watch again and again, worth it.
