A very honest spiritual memoir

This is not a neat and tidy spiritual memoir. For decades, Isaacs had an antagonistic relationship with God. Life wasn't going the way she wanted. She couldn't understand why God would be doing this to her. She is very open and honest in her frustration with God. Some Christians may be surprised by her language. I thought the sames kinds of things myself, however. I've just never had the nerve to write it down. Isaacs continues to pursue God, trying church after church. They all seemed to drive her crazy. She writes of her struggles with sex and her many failures. In the end she finds the God with Whom she was so angry. He hadn't changed. She had.
This is a great memoir of honesty in her spiritual life. Even if you have not struggled with being angry at God, reading this book will help you understand those that do.
