Combining traditional rock goodness with Southern charm and an experimental edge, Anberlin gives new spins on good things without falling into the contrived or pretentious. Their sophomore album, Never Take Friendship Personal, includes "Paperthin Hymn", "A Heavy Hearted Work of Staggering Genius", "Stationary Stationery", and more.

In my opinion, THIS is Anberlin's best album. My favorite song is Paper Thin Hymn, followed closely behind by Never Take Friendship Personal. GRRRRREAT ALBUM!!!!!

The lyrics in this album don't say much about God, but overall the album is very good. Each song has catchy riffs and choruses and I would say that NTFP is better than Anberlin's debut for sure.

After releasing their debut cd,
"Blueprints for the Black Market",
Anberlin has returned with a truly amazing follow-up. NTFP talks about relationships and such, but rather than leave God out completely like most "Crossover" bands would, Anberlin refers to the Lord in both "Paperthin Hymn" and "The Symphony of Blase". My favorite songs are #2,3,5,and 7. If you're lookin' for a creative and rockin' cd to boost your spirits and get your blood pumping, this is what you're looking for!

Well I agree there are a lot of lyrics about girls! But they're viewed from a Godly perspective!
So I COMPLETELY recommend this CD!
The lead singers voice is Awesome and their beat is SWEEEEEET!!!!

This CD is awesome! I have liked this band for more than 2 years, and I still like them! They have their own unique sound, but it's really good. Dance, Dance Christa Paffgen is one of my favorites!

Excellent music and lyrics except they aren't really what people would call 'Christian' and are mostly about girls, except for a few lines here and there that show their faith. Still an amazing band tho and 'the feel good drag' is a pretty tight song.

i have to say that this album rocks! I went to a large christian retail shop and listened on a headset for the newly released albums of 2005. I thought yeah anberlin, and i've heard of one of their music from their first album.
i loved it straight away and quickly to the cd case.
If you musics like jimmy eat world and the killers, buy this. I highly recommend it!
But just one drawback. Despite the brilliance and excellency of instrumental sounds of bass guitar and drums, there aren't really much christian preferences heard from their lyrics. Just a small caution before buying it.

This CD is awesome!! I was browsing, looking for some new cd's and stumbled onto Anberlin. I had never heard of them before, but after listening to the sound clips, I had to go out and buy the cd! Everything about the cd is great, the music, lyrics...its just unique and VERY catchy. It was the only cd I listened to for almost a week straight! I highly recommend it!!
