Grace4 Stars Out Of 5July 1, 2010GraceGood movie. based on a book about where Chrissa, a girl at a new school gets teased by the 'queen mean bees'. they do bad things to her. in the end though, everything works out.
Flora Lesley4 Stars Out Of 5January 12, 2010Flora LesleyAre your children too young for "Mean Girls"? Chrissa is a good family friendly alternative on the topic of bullying. Chrissa is a caring girl who helps a fellow student who is homeless. My only concern is that parents need to explain to their children that they should come forward to talk with them about these important issues when it starts. Children may feel that they should try to fix it on their own before coming to parents like Chrissa. Chrissa does not realize that the mean things going on (like having Chrissa's head put onto the body of an animal in pictures and the swimming pool event where the bully taunts a boy on the diving board)are really serious issues that need to be addressed. With this being said, I feel that parents will be pleased to see that this complex topic is taken seriously.
