If the idea of walking with Jesus doesn't make you uncomfortable, you haven't thought seriously enough about His presence in your life.
The passed-down, packaged Jesus turns out to be quite different from the one who steps alive and kicking out of the pages of Scripture. Author, pastor, and radio teacher Chip Ingram outlines what it takes to follow this renegade Jesus toward the idea of holy ambition. Stretching outside of your comfortable existence is just the beginning.
This newly updated edition will bolster dislocated hearts and turn broken spirits toward radical, faith-filled strategies that make a difference for God right now.
Bekah5 Stars Out Of 5Super bookJanuary 30, 2015BekahQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5LOVE Chip's instructions - starting with yourself, focusing on God and deepening your relationship with him - moving step by step through the process to get your dream off the ground. All this built on the foundation laid in Nehemiah. And once your dream is in action, there will be challenges and pitfalls - Chip covers these too. Don't have a dream? Not to worry, pray for one! This book is inspiring but also intensely practical. It provides a thorough toolbox for getting out to DO God's work.

Dr. L.E. WagnerAge: 55-65Gender: male5 Stars Out Of 5February 25, 2011Dr. L.E. WagnerAge: 55-65Gender: maleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This book starts with a biblical premise that all too often is taken out of context based on 2 Chronicles 16:9a so that it is a comforting statement when within its context it shows how one king of Israel created problems for himself. Weaving this verse throughout the book and using Nehemiah as his biblical basis and example, Mr. Ingram carefully shows Christians why they walk in weakness rather than in the full strength that is available to them as they seek to develop holy ambition in their lives. Each chapter explains and illustrates the aspects of the development of holy ambition and gives careful instruction as to how to implement them in our lives. Using plenty of biblical illustrations and evidences, as well as personal experiences through his pastoral experience and the lives of others, he not only shows us how to get onto the path but how to continue on this path to Christlikeness and service to the Lord. This book will challenge the hearts and lives of the reader to a deeper walk with the Lord.

I had been talking to a co-worker about how we sometimes talk ourselves into believing our vision is really God's. The video at this lesson and all the questions pointed at the fact that I was trying to force my vision on God and I had to begin the study again with God's abmition as my focus and not mine.
