Located in: Hattiesburg, MS Submitted: February 18, 2010 Tell us a little about yourself. Between me and my husband we have 6 kids, and we work together in our Auto Body Repair shop. I currently am in a Ministry called Mercy and Grace Ministries where I am currently speaking and teaching in churches and conferences. I absolutely love teaching of the freedom that is found in God. I do women's conferences and Saturday workshops. I currently sit on the Board of Advisors for Eve's House, which is a Christian half-way house for women in our area. I have been to Uganda, Africa teaching at Leadership Conferences and just want to always be sure that I am right in the middle od where God want's me to be. What was your motivation behind this project? I used to battle depression, a hard emotional back ground, self-mutilation, divorce and losing custody of my oldest son. In all the dark and lonely places that I have been in my life that I thought I could never get out of, I learned through God's unconditional, uncondemning love, that I can have a love for life and for total freedom and happiness. What do you hope folks will gain from this project? I wish for anyone who comes across my path to know that I have been with God on such and intimate level and my deepest hearts desire is to know Him and love Him more every day. I want others to know the same freedom. I want others to know that there is a way to look in the mirror, recognize and like what they see. Everyone should know that they are special in God's eyes and were created for such a wonderful purpose in life. How were you personally impacted by working on this project? It was long, tearful and very hard to write this manuscript. I was terrified for my past to be out in front of people but I have talked to so many people that relate tremendously with the struggles that are in the book. Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? My influences are a few godly friends in my life. My passion for wanting to see the light at the end of the tunnel and knowing that there just had tobe something better in life than the misery that was in my head and heart has driven me to my knees and my face before God. My favorite authors are Max Lucado and Beth Moore. Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know: Check out the ministry website at mercyandgraceministries.com . Find Related Products
