Aftershock: Help, Hope, and Healing in the Wake of Suicide
MY grandnephew surprised both family and friends with his decision to die at his own hand. I was very concerned about his parents, his sister, his grandparents and his aunts. This book was excellent in its coverage of the impact on family, the statistics. religious concerns and beginning to recover. I sent it to his mother.

I have read many books in search of answers and to find a way to cope with my loss. Out of all the books this one has been the best so far. It has brought me more peace and answers than any of the others. No, it can't answer all my specific questions although as survivors our questions are basically the same, WHY? But it did help me let go and not continue to search for someone, something to blame for my loved one's decision. My journey into healing has just begun, but this book has put me on the path towards healing. I can't recommend this book enough. Try any of the other books out there (I will continue to read what I can find) but you must read this if you are a suicide survivor or know someone that is. Thank you so much to David Cox and Candy Arrington.
