No one is calling divorce a blessing. But it is something that you will live through and that can help to powerfully transform you into the person God has created you to be. In fact, divorce can trigger tremendous growth. Bill Butterworth offers encouragement and hope that this new life will be a good life - and the promise that healing, strength, purpose and joy are around the corner.
This book was a "God thing" for me. My son has been divorced for 8 months now and still having problems accepting it. I prayed for God to show me how to help. I had to get up early one morning - very unusual for me. My husband turned the clock off and the radio on which we never use this radio. I couldn't tell you the last time we turned the radio on but ........ that morning - he turned the radio on and ..... it was on a channel --- AFR - loud and clear. Bill Butterworth was talking about his book. I knew immediately - God sent this to me. Ordered the book that day and gave it to my son. I had to stay on him and remind him to read it. But he did and told me it really was good and helped him alot. It was very eye opening for him. Thanks for writing it and sharing it with me.
I highly question the author's credibility for many reasons. Furthermore, his use of Scripture is offensive, since Scripture clearly teaches that remarriage is prohibited. He obviously didn't "wait" too long for his first wife to call!!! I see narcissism, not humility before God.
This is a fairly basic look at the aftermath of divorce and how to cope. Author made me question his credibility in writing when he switched names in a particular story. Other than that pretty basic instructions on how to cope with your divorce and the resultant damage.
