To answer the troubling question, "Why?" Edith Schaeffer stresses God's empathy and applies Job and other Scripture in a personal, caring approach to physical, emotional, and spiritual suffering.
Edith Scaeffer comes directly to grips with the eternal question of why we face suffering and affliction in this life, showing us how to trust in God alone for comfort.
Excellent book. I highly recommend. I've read a number of books on the subject of pain and suffering and Edith Schaeffer does a top job providing a biblical view of "affliction" as well as covering a number of subjects relevant for today's Church, and providing common sense answers for the inquiring Christian and the secular world. Do a loved one a favor and purchase this book for them before they are faced with the question of why bad things happen to good people.
