Tell us a little about yourself. We founded Ensign Media in 2004 as a film ministry to provide discipleship materials for small groups and individuals.
What was your motivation behind this project? Ensign Media mostly produces documentaries that seek to help Christians grow in their faith and understanding of God and His word, as well as the world in which we live. We also wanted people to better understand Lewis and his works. Through interviews and reenactments, Affectionately Yours, Screwtape seeks to both inform and entertain. This film can be viewed as a single documentary, or divided into five parts for small groups and Bible Study. Our goal is that this film will become a tool in helping individuals in their spiritual growth.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? Our hope is that the viewer will gain a greater appreciation for Christian apologist and author, C.S. Lewis. This film not only provides a literary review of Lewis The Screwtape Letters, but also informs the viewer of the spiritual battles we face.
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? The influence for this film was C.S. Lewis. We strongly believe that faith and reason are compatible. Various Christians who have reflected this have influenced our films.
Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know: We are greatly concerned about the cultural forces that shape the spiritual beliefs of Christians today and the world in which we live. We strive to provide a counter-balance to those ideals which contradict absolute truths or are in opposition to a Biblical worldview. We are always looking for subjects for documentary films that would be of interest to small groups. To submit your ideas or learn more about us and our mission, please visit us at www.ensignmedia.com.
