I love how this series focuses in on all different kinds of Christian heros. This book is about a missionary. At the end, there is a question/answer page my kids love. It had two fun facts about the missionary. My three girls loved hearing the book read aloud to them. They are between 4 and 8.

Battle for Cannibal Island is an adventure that will be sure to captivate young readers. In this book, Patrick and Beth find themselves on HMS Calliope in 1621 under the command of Captain James Home. They sail to the Fiji Islands and witness a time of war between Christian Fijians and non-Christian Fijians. They meet a missionary named James Calvert who is doing all he can to stop the war while risking his own life to share Jesus with the Fijians. Beth and Patrick learn about the dangers and struggles that missionaries face to carry out the Great Commission.

I loved Adventures in Odyssey as a child and now have the chance to share these great stories with children in my life. This was a great story with a great lesson and adventure. Can't wait to read more of the series.

This was a real adventure, with creativity and excitement. I thought the cannibals were creepy, and I'm not even a kid. It is easy reading, as well as engaging and educational.

Beth and Patrick are at it again. This time the imagination station takes them to the island of Fiji on board an old wooden masted ship. The island is full of cannibals and a Christian missionary on board wants to go back to the island to share the gospel message.

It was another fun book. I didn't enjoy it as much as the others. There were lots of action moments and great examples of doing all you can for the glory of God. It's a great read and a good lesson to be learned. Recommended for all ages.
