As I child I apparently missed the story of the ending of the Roman games, and really never contemplated what led to their demise. Well now I know it was decreed by Emperor Honorius. A book for children taught me something!
I think this would be a very interesting story for the target audience of age 7 and up. After reading, theres a secret puzzle to decode, and additional educational information and questions for thought on the Imagination Station website. This is a great tool for learning history that is engaging for children.

I read this book with my niece and nephew and not only did they love it, but I felt good about it because it uses a captivating story to teach sound Biblical values. In this book, Mr. Whittaker and cousins Beth and Patrick get a letter from the Imagination Station. This time, they go to ancient Rome including the arena to find the missing silver cup belonging to a monk. This book is full of adventure that will appeal to young readers and valuable lessons that Christian parents will want their children taken into heart. I also appreciated the many facts of ancient Rome because it gave my niece and nephew an appreciation for what they have and how they live. Once again, Focus on the Family provides a great tool for parents to provide to their children that will impart valuable Christian principles to its users.
