ChristianBook eBooks on the Sony Reader
To read a Christianbook.com licensed eBook on your Sony device, you will need to use Adobe Digital Editions.
Without using ADE, the Sony Reader will attempt to open eBooks with its own software, the Reader Library, and you may receive an error message.
To bypass the Sony Reader Library, return to the eBook portion of 'My Account' on our site, and click to download the eBook again.
When the Adobe Digital Editions installer comes up, click on 'Download Item.'
If you are downloading a DRM Protected eBook, you will be prompted to open or save the URLLINK.acsm. Click 'Save'.
Save the file to your Desktop for quick access later.
Right-click on the URLLINK file, then select 'Open With' and choose Adobe Digital Editions.
If Adobe Digital Editions is not in the list, click 'Choose Default Program' and then select Adobe Digital Editions from the list.
Your eBook will open and display in ADE.
Plug in your Sony Reader, which will now display its model number and not just as Sony Reader.
Now just click, drag and drop your eBook onto the Sony Reader icon.
You can now eject your Sony Reader, open up the Books library and your eBook is ready to read.

Tex THouston TXAge: 55-65Gender: male5 Stars Out Of 5Like a great song with new lyricsSeptember 11, 2012Tex THouston TXAge: 55-65Gender: maleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I'm always searching for new ways to tell people how to develop a personal relationship with Jesus. Sharon's emphasis on 1] reaching the bottom, the desperation point, and 2] finding God in the addiction, and 3] seeing the value of going through the addiction is the new twist that makes people understand why they need to surrender to God, which is the central fact of our relationship with Him. It's a 'new' way to tell the story that will reach a lot of people who wouldn't ever get it any other way. It's part of the reason the stories are so important to reaching and touching peoples' lives with the love and the life of Jesus. I'm not through yet, but I can already see that this book will be a great tool for discipleship; which is the focus of my ministry. She's right, "The last idol: [really is] the belief that we can save ourselves."

BobbIndianaAge: 55-65Gender: female3 Stars Out Of 5Not for MeJuly 30, 2012BobbIndianaAge: 55-65Gender: femaleQuality: 3Value: 3Meets Expectations: 2This book is the personal account of a counselor who has struggled with an addiction and counseled those with addictions. I appreciated the candidness of this author very much and her openness to share the intimate details of her lifelong struggle. However, it did not meet my specific needs and I felt more discouraged after reading this book. While I totally agree that God is the only one who can truly satisfy our deepest needs, too much of this book left me feeling relatively hopeless.
Pastor TimSt. Paul, MNAge: 55-65Gender: male5 Stars Out Of 5January 20, 2011Pastor TimSt. Paul, MNAge: 55-65Gender: maleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Very pleased with insights from the author who has a solid grasp of addictions from personal experience as well as her counseling practice. She integrates Christian values in an appropriate manner. I was concerned about her own experience with yoga and zen as I believe they are incompatible with Christianity, but these are mentioned only briefly in the text.
