I loved the first two books in this series, and the third one just blew me away!! I never saw ANY of the plot lines coming, and I had to devour this book until I finished the incredible conclusion! These books really need to be read in order because each one is detailed and personal, and the other books build on the one before. I wish there were more to this series--I fell in love with the characters and their unbelievable struggles to build a new life in a foreign country, facing unexpected tragedies, developing internal strength, and experiencing triumph together. I highly recommend this series!
Abandoned Memories by MaryLu Tyndall is Book 3 in the Escape to Paradise Series. It is definitely a stand alone book, but I highly recommend reading Book 1 & 2 first, you won't be disappointed!
I could not put the book down once I started it...and I most certainly did not want it to end--the recipe for an amazing book.
As the third book in the Escape to Paradise series, this book continues the story of the same characters, bringing to the forefront Angeline Moore and James Callaway, both of whom have dark pasts of their own, who leave the South for Brazil after losing the Civil War...in hopes of a better life. As if the characters and wild jungles are not enough, there are also powerfully evil forces set on destroying the fledgling community and unleashing evil throughout the earth.
If you are looking for action, adventure, mysteries, romance, and good triumphing over evil, this is the most definitely the book you must read. The characters are very likable and very well written, Ms. Tyndall has an amazing way of making you feel as though you are living the book along with the characters. Mary Tyndall is one of my favorites and I look forward to the next adventure!

Abandoned Memories is the third book in Tyndall's series, "Escape to Paradise". This book does an excellent job of weaving the whole series together. There are many different story lines going on in this series because each of the characters seem to have some kind of past that they would like to a escape from as the series title suggests. However, this new settlement may not be the "paradise" that these individuals are looking for.
Throughout this book, and the entire series, the characters struggle in real life situations. They want to be free from their past, but something is holding on to them.
In Abandoned Memories, the story reaches the climax and each character we have met must come together and work together to face their past, present, and possibly their future in the new town. But the question remains, will their past hold them back or will it make them stronger in order to face their current trials?
I thoroughly enjoyed the ending of this series, Tyndall does such a marvelous job of tying all the books together. I have to say when you get to the epilogue, you will have enjoyed all three books from start to finish, and there is quite the finishing touch. Make sure you read all the way to end, for the last few chapters and the aforementioned epilogue were my favorites!
A darkness seems to have taken a hold on colony of New Hope. A darkness that is bringing visions - visions that are memories from the past - memories of pain and shame.
Abandoned Memories is the final book in the Escape to Paradise series and everything is about to culminate as the colonists must face their pasts and the secrets they are keeping. Because until they confront their pasts and accept God's forgiveness they will not survive what is to come.
Not to give away too much this is an interesting story which is a mix of genres. There is romance, history, and a touch of the supernatural that blends into an engaging and intriguing story.
This book focuses mainly on the back stories of Angeline Moore and James Gallaway. And as the story progresses we see how the lives of the six main characters of this series are intertwined in ways that they never knew nor suspected.
If you want to just escape within the pages of a book you just might want to pick up Abandoned Memories. It will make for a great weekend getaway.
