I loved this book! I had it read in 2 days. The only reason that it took me that long was because of work and sleeping! Wanda Brunstetter is a wonderful author and she hooks you in with her beautiful story telling. I have learned so much from her book! She has done another fabulous job. I think I know who is behind the attacks. I can't wait for the next book!

As with all Wanda's books I was drawn to this one because of it's Amish values. To watch Ruth go through one loss after another, and trusting God to somehow make it better is so rewarding. She responds by reaching out to Abe in his misery and heartache by taking care of his children and helping around his home. So often we are so lost in our own problems we don't see other people hurting. That is why I love all Wanda's books. I am still waiting for the identity of the one who is attacking the Hostettler family, so I will be awaiting the next installment in this series. Do yourself a favor and read these books it will do your heart good.

This book picks up just a few weeks after the first one ends, and I really would like to say that there are more smiles and rose blossoms in reading the book of Job than there is in this book. I just do not understand how so much strife can continue one thing after another. I'm ready for some happiness! Geez, these books are depressing me. But, I refuse to just quit the author or the series, because surely as much strife is shown to be as possible there must be such happiness to compare. Because I know that as much as the Lord is one for taking, He also giveth!

A great read! If you liked the first one, this is just as good. There is lots of surprising twists too. I can't wait for the next one to come out.

I totally enjoyed Book 1 & Book 2 of the Holmes County series. Yet, I was not happy with the quick ending with no mention of who caused the major and minor misfortunes of the family. I just think Ms Brunstetter is just trying to make money and string the readers along to buy more books. I will not buy #3 if, and when it is written. Judi
