This is my first Gilbert Morris book, I had read the rave reviews but never read any of his myself. I enjoyed this book immensely, the male hero didn't act in honourable ways, he surely was trouble, yet it all came together in the end. Thaddeus Brennan had a raw real man feel to him, I didn't like him to begin with but I sure was cheering him on by the end. I will be reading more of Mr. Morris's work. 5 stars.

Had a Louis L'Amour western feel to the read. Wish there were more books out there like this one--real life feel without all the sappiness of many christian romance books.

Love this new series on the pioneer days and crossing the western plains. The book is hard to put down until it is finished.

Gilbert Morris is my favorite author. "A Man For Temperance" was very entertaining with many twists and turns. Mr. Morris always has a change in each book he writes. He does not follow a set pattern. Thank you Mr. Morris for the good books you write.
