Our sons (4&7) were not interested in reading the book based on the cover picture only. But when we read it to them, they really enjoyed it. And it was a good spring board for talking about pursuing the things that God designed us for instead of what the world thinks we should do.Definately recommend it!

Max Lucado has a wonderful way of presenting a powerful message for children. This hard-cover book is a must for every library and at this price there's really no excuse!

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and can therefore highly recommend it. I think it should be widely distributed to early childhood educators so that they can share this classic story about " What do you want to be when you grow up ? " with young boys and girls.

A charming, thought provoking book look at Ivan's struggle to wear hats that others wanted him to wear. Encourages the little people to think about each person being gifted with individual, special talents and personalities. My 4 yr old granddaughter talked about the story in conversations even days after reading the book. It will be a favorite.
