Prior to this one, both reviews gave extremely low ratings. Both reviewers claimed to be confused and lost regarding the plot. Granted, the plot lies well beneath the surface, and the viewer does need to watch the DVD a second, perhaps even a third time, to understand what is really going on.This DVD is only 36 minutes long from start to finish, so viewing it 3 times still takes less than 2 hours, and doing so is well worth the effort. The best way to view it the 2nd time is to watch with "director's commentary" as it allows incredible insight into what he is trying to bring to the audience. The subject matter (partial-birth abortion) should be of deep concern to Christians, none of whom should be "lukewarm" in their attitude toward this abomination. The director does an outstanding job of bringing this to DVD in a way that verbally conveys all that a partial-birth abortion consists of. There's virtually no "gore" in this DVD, although a few scenes may come across as "too graphic" for some, though only if one hasn't watched television since the early 60s. All of the "graphic" stuff was done as tastefully as possible, knowing it had to bring the horrific nature of what PBA is to light. Far too few (Christians!) even know what PBA really involves. The term partial-birth abortion makes the procedure sound so necessary and sanitized, like so much of the double-speak in today's world. If you have any desire to be informed about a procedure that takes abortion to a much more disturbing level, please do yourself a favor & purchase this DVD...or rent it if possible.
