Will a little Amish girl make a Christmas miracle?
It isn't easy to be Katie Weaver. Her sister-in-law Ella is about to have a baby, making Katie an aunt for the second time . . . and she's only six and a half! Plus, her favorite librarian, Miss Donovan, seems sad. She won't even fix up the rundown nativity in front of the library in time for Christmas. Then, an old woman is attacked outside the library, and, one by one, the nativity figures start to disappear!
Luckily, there's a new deputy in town, Connor Fields.
He takes a real liking to Miss Donovan . . . and he promises to find the missing nativity pieces for Katie.
Now, all Katie has to do is pray that Ella's delivery goes well and that some kind of nativity is in place for Christmas Eve. Oh, and that Miss D. falls in love with Connor. Katie knows from watching her three brothers that it makes people real happy. And that would be a Christmas miracle indeed!

“An engaging, romantic love story...of faith, family and misunderstandings highlights the rich magic of Christmas and why it’s known as the blessed season of love, forgiveness and joy.”
“Gray’s latest embodies the meaning of Christmas. It is a reminder that all situations — good, bad or inconvenient — happen for a reason: It is God’s plan.”
“A sweet, straightforward story about how love can be tested by family, faith, and personal insecurity. Enjoyable and heartwarming.”
“A story of love and forgiveness, Gray paints a stirring picture of Christmas time and the magic it can have on people.”

Most of the books I've read have had the story from an adult prespective, and here I was going to read something from a child's point of view as well as adults. Well, I must say - I'm glad I read this book. It's amazing what one can learn from the eyes and mouth of a child. Katie showed the true meanings of love, faith, hope, prayer, and Christmas. And she brought together a town to feel those things as well. And throwing crazy old Mrs. Jensen into the mix livened up Jacob's Crossing. Katie's prayers/conversations with God were precious and came from her heart. All of the characters in this story learned a valuable lesson from a child. This book gets 5 stars from me. A wonderful Christmas story portraying the real reason of Christmas with laughs, tears, and love.
