Publisher's Description

It all started with an ad in a mail-order bride catalogue . . .

This charming bouquet of novellas introduces you to four Hitching Post Mail-Order Bride Catalogue prospects in the year 1870, all eager for second chances . . . and hungry for happiness. Year in, year out, they’ll learn that love often comes in unexpected packages.

“And then Came Spring” by Margaret Brownley

Mary-Jo has traveled halfway across the country to meet her match, arriving just in time for his funeral. Returning home seems like her only option until her would-be brother-in-law proposes a more daring idea.

“An Ever After Summer” by Debra Clopton

Ellie had no idea she’s not what Matthew ordered. And what’s wrong with being a “Bible thumper” anyway? She’s determined to show him she’s tougher than she looks—and just the girl he needs.

“Autumn’s Angel” by Robin Lee Hatcher

Luvena would be perfect for Clay if she didn’t come with kids. But kids are a deal breaker, especially in a rough-and-trouble mining town. e trouble is, there’s no money to send them back . . .

“Winter Wedding Bells” by Mary Connealy

David’s convinced he’s not long for the world. He needs someone to mother his boys when he’s gone—nothing more. Can plucky Irish Megan convince him to work at living instead of dying?

This collection of novellas by well known authors were a good read. I have to be honest. I was not particularly wowed by any of the stories. They were all okay in and of themselves. I recommend this book if you are looking for an easy read which does not require too much concentration.

What an excellent book! I enjoyed the whole thing! It took me a couple days to read this one as there are multiple stories in it. I enjoyed each story as it was told by a different author about a different woman. I liked the time period, settings and characters. I liked how each couple as issues they have to overcome in order to fall in love. Sometimes you read a historical romance and there really isn't that great struggle that keeps them apart until the end. Well each of these stories has just enough drama and romance to keep you entertained and reading to find out what happens next. I gave this book 5/5 stars. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys Christian historical romances.

I would like to thank the publisher for the copy of this book I enjoyed reading. I gave an honest review based on my opinion of what I read.

    Excuse me while I gush.

    I LOVE this book.

Now, let me go back and tell you exactly why.

My time being limited, I'm careful to only choose books I'm pretty sure I'm going to enjoy reading. There have been times where I've been let down a little, and that comes with the territory. I'm not a big reader of anthologies ~ I don't know why, but these are relatively new to me.

    I'm hooked.

This book, with each individual story written by four different, fantastic authors, is a keeper. This will warm any historical romantic lover's hearts who's time is limited, and who doesn't want to sacrifice quality of story. Each short story has its own drama, its own issues that keep the readers interest and will prod them to read on. Way past their normal bedtime.

Heroines that won't quit. Heroes that you'll sigh over. Cowboys, the wild west, and true love. Does it get any better than that?!

Meet Mary-Jo, in And Then Came Spring who stomps into her fiance's...funeral ~> how's that for different, huh?

In An Ever-After Summer, you'll find yourself cheering Ellie on while taking on a stubborn mule that you know you're going to love. And it's not just her husband, either!

Luvena, in Autumn's Angel, will make you wonder if this beauty is indeed cursed with bad luck, as well as a sweet heart, and, then you'll meet my ultimate hero and favorite story,

Winter Wedding Bells with cute and plucky Megan who's fiance is convinced he's going to die. But she's too feisty to let him.

This book is fabulous. I have not only spent a super enjoyable day reading each story, but I have added three very talented authors to my favorite authors list. I say three, because Mary Connealy already was on that list. Way toward the top...

I highly recommend A Bride for All Seasons.

*My thanks to the publisher, Thomas Nelson, who sent me a copy in exchange for a review. I was not required it be positive. It's just really that good.*

A Bride for All Seasons is a collection of delightful stories of mail-order brides from years gone by. The adventures -- and sometimes misadventures -- of these young ladies and their intended husbands provide short snippets of interesting reading and escape from the present day for a short time.

I've always thought the concept of mail-order brides was intriguing. I guess there were numerous things that would motivate a young lady to leave everyone and everything she knew to travel across country and marry a man she had never met. These authors present quite a variety of those reasons and very different scenarios that play out once the ladies reach their destinations. The connection between the stories is the "help" (or is it "interference") by the editor of the Hitching Post Mail-Order Bride Catalogue that throws some unexpected twists in the match-making experiences.

I would recommend this book for one or more sessions of light reading pleasure.

Thanks to BookSneeze for providing a free copy of this ebook in exchange for my honest review.

I have a fairly good imagination, but I'm also a product of my generation...a fairly independent and opinionated woman. I can't imagine what it would be like to be a woman in the 1800's who answers an ad for a mail order bride. What a scary notion!

In A Bride For All Seasons, a compilation of novellas by four well-known Christian authors, we get a glimpse of some of what might have gone wrong.I was recently given the book to Review.

Each story is only connected by the Hitching Post Mail-Order Bride Catalogue. In each novella, the main characters have connected by way the the Catalogue during the late 1800's. A well-meaning, but somewhat manipulative editor of the Catalogue takes matters into his own hands...leading to some big misunderstandings!

I do enjoy filling my Kindle with books that I can read through without a whole lot of concentration on my part. You know how it is...one eye on the swim team practice...the other on your book.

This book fit the bill. It was not only fun reading, but all were filled with the Christian values I hold dear.

My favorite of the novellas was "An Ever After Summer" by Debra Clopton. I am sometimes impatient with heroines who are silly or unreasonably stubborn or both. This heroine was anything but.

I recommend this book for any and all who enjoy the genre.

I was provided this book by booksneeze for my honest review.
