I am absolutely hooked on Dr. David Jeremiah. Not him really, but the way he shares the Word of God. Now having his commentaries right in the Bible, I can not think of a better way to study. This is my favorite Bible for overall commentaries and studying.

I chose the charcoal and burgundy leather-look cover because I like the color combination and the feel of the cover material in my hand. When my Bible arrived, I was not disappointed with any aspect of it. The print is very readable. The pages are made of very nice paper. There is a veritable library of extra-biblical information which helps me in Bible study. The price is certainly reasonable. This Bible has more than favorably met my expectations.

I'm really liking the Jeremiah Study Bible. I purchased it because I respect Dr. Jeremiah and his interpretation of Scripture and also because I don't have a NKJV and wanted to compare it to others I have.

I listen to Dr. Jeremiah often and love his teachings. I do believe he is a man of God. I am enjoying my studies with this Study Bible even-though I use other studies Bibles as well . The special messages, key notes and essentials help me get more insight from the scriptures; it enhances my teaching. However, I would have liked to have had listed Articles and Resources; Biblical Doctrine: An Overview; Biblical Ethics: An Overview; The Bible in Christianity; The Bible and World Religions; History of Salvation In the Old Testament: Preparing the Way for Christ; History of Salvation in the OT; more Maps, and Abbreviations as with the ESV Study Bible that I also have, which help my studies as well. It would be great to have a Study Bible from Dr. Jeremiah with all the above included.

I'd like to start by saying I love Dr. Jeremiah and his teachings. However, this study Bible is not that great. I really do hate to say that. I was so excited to get this Bible and I have to admit my disappointment. I'm sure there are others that don't feel the way I do, but let me explain my disappointment. I did not buy a study Bible to read the Bible. I bought a study Bible to study the Bible. Now when I read my textbooks for the university I'm attending, they are thorough, and the authors attempt to leave very few (if any) questions unanswered. I expect that kind of rigor in a study Bible as well. My standards may be too high, but let me explain exactly what I mean. Suppose you read, "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life." Any person who wants to study the Bible should respond, "well what does that mean?," but the annotations/footnotes do nothing to aid the questioner. Dr. Jeremiah might write something like, "Jesus loves you so much." I hate to be so negative, I really do. But the annotations/footnotes rarely do anything to deepen my understanding of the text. Or suppose again that you are reading Ephesians when Paul uses the word 'predetermined.' Anyone who wants to study the Bible should respond, "does that mean that I didn't have a choice to be a believer? that God programmed me like a robot?" But Dr. Jeremiah does not comment on that at all. I am aware that the topic of predetermination is a topic of continuous debate, but he could at least say that. For me, this process of asking obvious questions and not being answered led me to put this study Bible down for good. I just ordered an ESV Study Bible because I've read reviews which address the problem I've discussed above, and say that the ESV Study Bible does a great job of fixing that. The Word of God is so deep at times no amount of commentary could ever reveal its true meaning, but the Jeremiah Study Bible does hardly anything to uncover the truth. Once again, I'd like to say I have nothing against Dr. Jeremiah himself. I just want to warn those like myself who are really trying to understand the Word that this purchase could be (like it was for me) a huge waste of money.
