An absolute masterpiece. Even to this day it is still considered to be the band's defining album. The music is so diverse but it always keeps the same rap rock style. I don't think any other band in this genre could have pulled off a song like "P.S.", "Chimes", or "Twenty-Three". Check this one out. A very memorable listening experience.

2 Words "THE BEST"! It's not exactly Rap-Rock, but I guess it can be under that category. It's as if PJ86 made their own Music Genre! Rocking Guitars, Thrashing Drums and Soaring Vocals! The opening track "Steins Theme" got me excited when the heavy guitars came rocking in! and the momentum keeps building until the album stops. Of course there are some slow songs here and there but it doesn't lose the "adreneline" of the album! Fans of ROCK, Nu-Metal, or ne thing with heavy guitaring, get this album!

This is one of those albums that you can listen to over and over without getting tired of it or just listening to specific tracks. Project 86 has come such a long way from the style on this album. But when you think about it, who really cares? This band is very good at what they do, and this album is like a reminder. If you have read any of the other reviews on this album, you probably know that the vocals sound remotely like rap, rather than singing(which is the band's current style). With tracks like 4, 6, 7, and 11, this album brings an energy that most albums don't. If you want to have some fun listening to an album, then this is just what you are looking for.

If you have not picked this up by now, where have you been? I really have not found a better CD than this one. So if you are any kind of a fan of rock, don't pass this one up.

This is a great CD. My second favorite out of my whole CD collection (my favorite is Blindside's Silence)! All of the songs on this CD are good except for one (Twenty-three). My very favorite songs are Stein's Theme and Chapter 2. The screaming at the end of Chapter 2 are the best screams on any Project 86 CD. If you like hard music, BUY THIS!!!!!

If you only buy one album by this band, this is the one to get. This has the best message and music combo of any of their albums. Heavy, hard, and packed with meaning. Me against me is a stand out song, but they are all pretty darn good!

Just like Pillar's Fireproof album, I was totally blown away by DBL and I couldn't listen to more than three tracks at a time due to the energy it brings. The vocals are good, the drumming is really good, even the screaming is good. Alex is really a wizard on drums. In some tracks, he is beating the drums so hard that I'm surprised they didn't break. I can't say if P86 is better than POD. They both have different sounds and I can't compare them. I'm not the world's biggest hardcore fan but this is probably the best hardcore CD I've ever heard. Bands like Korn, Disturbed, and Staind are put to shame by P86. Just about every song on this CD is good but I really like Stein's Theme, Set Me Up and Open Hand.
