Many of us believe a lie---that we
are our success, intelligence, skill, and attractiveness. But Jesus says not so fast. Just as a
Tomato dies to help us live, our "false" self must be extinguished so that our true self can blossom. Based on Matthew 10:39, Rob Bell's newest

Most of us grew up believing that our worth, our value, our acceptance comes from how good we are. How smart, how competent, how fast and better and skilled. But Jesus invites us to die to all of that so that we can really live.

This is a great video to show at Easter time. We watched this in Sunday School and I noticed that it was talking to me as much if not more than to everyone else. I find myself thinking about myself more than others and need to remember that Christ died so that I can live, just like the tomato dies so we can have salsa.

I have a small group that meets every other Sunday at my house. We showed this one and I typed out all the question for everyone. It was very challenging for some of us who need to get honest with the lord. Everyone liked it and the format was great. We have all of Rob Bell's teaching. He is right to the point and doesn't beat around the bush. Great Stuff

The guy in the red shoes aside, this is still a great lesson, mainly because I... Love... Salsa!

Bell's previous videos were very thought-provoking. After watching this I was just confused. Who is the guy with the umbrella? Satan? Temptation?

This DVD had very little substance. I was disappointed in the debt of the subject matter compared to Bells' earlier works. Normally you walk away from his presentations with an understanding of what the writer of that particular book of the Bible was trying to convey to the reader, but this time it was more warm and fuzzy with a make you feel good approach.
