ELP READING PRE-SCHOOL Reading provides a means of understanding the thoughts of others through what they have written, whether a letter, poem, grocery list, sign or story. Readiness for reading depends on the development of pre-reading skills. Some of the activities included are matching objects by likeness, matching objects by sound, size relationship, predicting outcomes, part to whole, rhyming words, remembering details, beginning to read.

This is an excellent book for a preschooler or even a kindergartener who is beginning to learn to read. The activities are simple and straight forward.
