Anne Graham Lotz has done a great job in focusing on the lessons Jesus taught and she does what most authors sometimes fail at. She puts herself into it. She opens up her closet and reveals some skeletons of her life that she was forced to face and how she has used Jesus' example to push through. She is realistic and offers no overnight solutions. She promotes hard work in pursuing God and yet laces it with a hope that things will get better. A definite must read. A little dry at first, but the personal applications make up for it as you get into the book.

Based on John's gospel, Anne Graham Lotz provides an insightful tool for Christian enrichment. The primary function of this book is spiritual encouragement rather than bibical commentary. It does this by placing the focus on those passages in which Jesus spoke of Himself. Also recommended: •• THE PRAYER OF HANNAH •• by Kenn Gividen || A surprise ending of a non-fiction! In a stroke of genius, the author weaves a hidden message in his book, only revealed by the last footnote on page 128.
