This is the best devotional available for children.
It was written by 2 seminary professors who are parents, in a format that can appeal to a wide range of ages. I use with my own children ranging from age 5 to mid-teens. Adults will also appreciate and benefit from the bountiful Biblical insights.
The authors use a wide range of Biblical texts from the Old and New Testaments, exposing children to a more complete view of the Bible. Unlike some other devotionals for children, the devotions in this book are not simplistic and meaningless platitudes. Instead, they point children to the Bible as the source of answers for all life’s situations, including those which are painful or hard to understand.
The devotions follow the seasons of the Christian calendar, and include other holidays that help children connect Biblical truth to daily life.
This book is an invaluable tool for parents and people who teach children and want to help them develop patterns of daily prayer and Bible study.
