We love Fernando Ortega! The Christmas CD was very nice for quiet moments but to be honest, we were a wee bit disappointed with the choice of songs. It just didn't feel all that 'Christmasy' to us.

Fernando Ortega's Christmas Songs could be summed up as peaceful simplicity. Pure instruments and vocals beautifully tell the Christmas story. The lovely Carol of the Birds instrumental is a real treat as is the new tune for O Little Town on Bethlehem. We've heard Ortega sing Let All Mortal Flesh Keep Silent and Jesus, King of Angels on other albums, but they fit in perfectly here and add to this worshipful collection.

I am a huge fan of Fernando Ortega anyhow but this is, by far, the best Christmas album ever. His versions of O Little Town of Bethlehem and Come, Thou Long Expected Jesus are truly beautiful, very peaceful. The whole album brings a deep reverence to Christmas. It is the only Christmas album I own that I listen to all year long.

This is one of the best Christmas CDs around. I have enjoyed Fernando's music for many years. As soon as I learned that he had done a Christmas record, I bought it--no questions asked ! I was not disappointed. The music and arrangements are excellent. There are a couple of familiar songs that I wouldn't have expected to be on a Christams CD---"Let All the Earth Keep Silence" and "Jesus King of Angels"---but the more I think about it, I think they were good additions.

Beautiful!!! Original in the arrangements, one of a kind and simply the best Christmas album/CD I have ever purchased. I love Christmas music and get one or two new ones every year so I thinks thin this says a lot.

This is a wonderful Christmas cd to add to any collection! I really like the way he redid some of the old classics and made you feel like you were hearing it for the first time. I was just a little disappointed to receive the cd in a cardboard sleeve rather than a plastic case. I still give it 5 stars!
