An unbeliever and a theist usually have very little to talk about, at least here in America. But put a Chinese unbeliever with a curious mind towards philosophy and theology together with an American Christian evangelist and the conversation will take some interesting twists! Luis Palau, international evangelist, and Zhao Qizheng, Chinese dignitary, spoke for two days about faith, culture, science and many other issues concerning both Christians and non-Christians on a global scale. Through a reciprocal respect and determination for harmony in their discussion, the two amicably address aspects of religion - as practiced by China's millions of atheistic, nominal, and devout adherents - and society and are able to share with each other, as well as the readers, the deeper thought processes that have guided each man in their influential lives.

Reviewed by n0t0fth1s34rth (Massachusetts), June 03, 2008 An interesting dialog, but Palau loses control of the direction early and never really regains it. Very little presentation of a Gospel message, and what little is there is spread all over the book. At one point Palau mentions that he doesn't know who made God. What a way to blow a perfect set-up to talk about God's eternality and creation. Palau also believes in 'carnal Christianity', but thankfully there is very little about that in the book - unfortunately this isn't a very good representation of 'biblical Christianity'. 5 out of 5 stars

With so many titles out there discussing Atheism and Christianity, this is the first I have read that openly, honestly, and respectfully looks at both sides of the arguement. Each author is well-versed in their approach and understanding of the topic, and give great insight for someone interested in this normally volatile subject.
It's an easy read, yet profound. Don't miss it. Write a review of A Friendly Dialogue Between an Atheist and a Christian
