Bought this book for a gift for my dad, who really enjoys it, and have read some myself that was very good.

Outside of the Bible and Corrie Ten Boom's writings no other book has influenced my spiritual life as much as "My Upmost For His Highest". A wonderful gift to give to any disciple of Christ!

Great gift for a young man whom has recently returned to the Lord. He is reading it daily and the Lord is really showing Himself to him. Wonderful classic

Most devotional books are lightweight with touchy-feely stuff. This book is "steak." You will read it and chew on it for years as it sinks in and God uses it to change your life, one layer at a time.

I love this book. It has hard cover, will last for many years to come, the font size is perfect and is a good gift for friends and families.

Having read many others, I wholeheartedly agree with the above commenter from Canada. I have had this devotional since the first few days of my salvation, at the Lord's choosing. It has been a godly lifesaver. If one is prone to the need for deeper savior thoughts, for strength in single mindedness, to be far from the unseen mines of weakness of heart, mind and body, this shall keep you, if you let it, I believe, at least closer, to the holy highway. We have forgotten the seriousness of the cross's intention and its judgment. Oswald focuses us back to our single most commission: as the Lord's disciples, to walk in (and to be like) Him for the spreading of His word, His saving grace and the gathering of His harvest. Take up, open and read (and find comfort) Oswald's godly thoughts. It can keep your hearts and minds on the gift (as a thief in the night) of his faithful and eternal promise-heavenly peace, joy and Jesus!

Oswald Chambers writes devotionals which provide avenues for deep thought and inspiration in the Christian life. His writings probe ideas and thoughts that other devotional writings do not address. This book is one of my favorties, both to read and give as a gift to others. I give this book 5 stars!
