Everyone knows that we are called upon to be holy, but what exactly does "holy" mean and what does "holy" look like? With his trademark candor, J.C. Ryle strips away the gaudy ornamentation that many confuse for holiness and systematically unfolds the true beauty of what it means. Deep, rich, profound, and penetrating, this timeless classic is now available in this unabridged edition and includes a foreword by D. Martyn Lloyd-Jones as well as an exhaustive index of Scripture.

In a time much of the evangelical side of the Body of Christ is focused
on personal or corporate activity J.C.Ryle draws followers of Christ
back to true concept of Holiness which the Bible states without
which one can never see the face of God

A friend gave me this book to review. I have a large Christian library in my home and if I had to give up all but a few books, this would definitely be one that I kept. Written in the 19th century, it carefully answers some deep-seated Biblical questions I have struggled with.
