Who controls this world? God or the Devil? Pink asks this in this introductory study of the sovereignty of God. To relieve the panic-stricken believer Pink's answer encourøages us to '' Fear not! . . . all things are working together for good to them that love God . . . '' Quoting freely from Scripture he searches the Scriptures and tackles the profoundest questions, responding in language written for the ease and interest of any layperson. 261 pages, paper from Baker.

This book should be required reading for every Christian. It has given me a more insightful and thankful view of my salvation and God's love for me. It is a book that is hard to put down and must be read again and again. A.W. Pink always points the reader to God and gives the glory only to God. Thanks for the opportunity to review this book. God Bless!

I agree with most of the reviews of this book it is a powerful work of the utmost importance. It is a hard topic that is so readily denied today in a culture that has taken the place of God. It is strait forward yet Biblical at the same time, hard truths that must be recaptured by a society that has fallen so far.
I found after the reading of such the appendix is of great use to those wanting to defend such truths to those who would deny them. Going over scriptural examples that will be brought as a defense for Arminiamism/Semi-Pelaginaism. To show why they are not a defense as they appear at first. But a refutation taken on a honest scriptural level and not merely a surface answer one. As best I can tell the appendix does not appear in the Banner of Truth version thou.

This book is now in my top 3 of life changing books. Anyone, who will read the scriptures used by Pink to make his plea, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, will be tranformed in their mind. I believe the power in this book is not to make a doctrine out of it, but to allow it to move you into a greater understanding of the fear of the Lord

A most excellent treatment of this sensitive subject. In comparing the Baker publication with the Banner of Truth version I find that the chapter on Reprobation has been omitted. If it is Biblical truth why should we be afraid of it?

Wonderful exposition of this Bible doctrine! Be wary that the Banner of Truth edition has done some editing. Whether one agrees with Pink or not, his arguments should not be taken lightly.

A truly excellent book! This book (written around 1920) is probably one of the most comprehensive and well done books on the Sovereignty of God, election, predestination, the doctrine of grace, and so on. I highly recommend it. However, be sure to buy this edition (the Baker edition) because I have been told that the Banner of Truth edition (CBD Stock number WW1511333) had a full chapter removed because someone didn't agree with it, which I find reprehensible if that is true. That is something which I doubt could have been done if the author hadn't been dead for 50 years. Let the author speak for himself whether you like it or not. Blessings to you.
