The book has a lot of good advice and I believe the principles Mr. Rubin writes about are probably true. It has convinced me to change a lot of my eating habits, though I am not following his diet strictly because it is practically impossible to find many of the things in the country where I live. However, I would like more specific information on many of the things he wrote about, but to find out more on his website, you have to pay a lot of money. Also, he suggests taking a lot of supplements which if I could find them where I live, I would never be able to afford. Overall, the maker's diet seems to be a healthy choice, but is practically impossible to follow for the average person.

I have read a lot of books on health and nutrition, but this one takes the cake (right OUT of your mouth because white flour and sugar are making you sick!) Seriously, The Maker's Diet pulls together all the best scientific research, testimonials, and practical advice together in one concise package. It's a truly holistic approach to good health as it addresses the spiritual, emotional, and physical aspects of why we're sick and suffering and how to be well.
My immune system has had a spectacular boost since adopting this way of eating and living. I'm no longer suffering from chronic illnesses like bronchitis, strep, and colds for weeks and months at a time as I have since childhood. My husband and children love to eat this way now, too, and they are also healthier and happier!
Oh, and about the cake, we CAN have our cake and eat it too...I had a wonderful double layer chocolate cake with butter-cream frosting for my birthday last month--it was just made with the right ingredients! (i.e. sprouted spelt flour, stevia, organic cocoa, cage free eggs, coconut oil, etc.)
