I have used Liddell and Scott, the Classical Greek Lexicon, for my translation work in the LXX; this is an excellent resource for confirming Liddell and Scott. I have worked through the LXX Lexicon and am very impressed with the work done and the range of coverage of the lexicography of the editors. Maurice W. Lusk, III

Great book! I've always said, that if I bought only one more Bible study book it would be "The Greek-English Lexicon to the Septuagint". I have Bernard A. Taylor's "Parsing Lexicon to the Septuagint" as a companion to the afore mentioned book. I would like to study Greek in my retirement.

This is an excellent resource. I use BDAG and the "middle" Liddell on a regular basis, in addition to some other classic lexicons, and I have found this to be a useful and valuable complement for reading the LXX. It contains entries peculiar to the LXX not found in the other lexicons, and even for those that are listed in the NT lexicons, this work provides additional information that is helpful for understanding the unique nature of the LXX. It doesn't give the detailed exegetical data provided by BDAG, but provides more information than the middle Liddell. It also gives basic grammatical form and statistical data, the first 5 occurrences, and information pertinent to NT usage. Beyond its content, the layout is superb and it is very user-friendly. The Greek font is gorgeous and easy on the eyes. A very worthy investment for readers of the LXX.

For all those who want to study Septuagint Greek and Septuagint translations, this book is an excellent tool. It covers the entire Septuagint, with a very large bibliography and links to the Hebrew.
