Traditionally, Group publishing has had separate manuals for opening singing time and closing wrap-up. They have learned that at most VBS programs, the same person opens and closes each day and thus have put both bookend segments into one manual. The pages are perforated so that if you do have two separate leaders at your VBS, you can just tear out the Finale sections and hand it off to the Fanfare Finale Leader. One copy is included in the Starter Kit.

Each VBS day begins with Sir Wally Skit followed by Sing & Play Rock, which includes introducing and learning the daily Bible point, meeting the daily Bible Buddy, praise & worship, and prayer before the rotations begin. Fanfare Finale closes each VBS day with the Spotlight Show of pictures, review of the day with the Bible Buddy, an object lesson or skit that reinforces the daily point, a connection to Operation Kid-to-Kid and songs before dismissing children to parents and guardians.
