These "Christian Kids Explore..." books are excellent. The best advice I can give you is to buy all of the books in this series (there are 4: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Earth & Space) at once, and alternate them (do 1 unit in one book, then a unit in another, etc.) This will prevent you from getting burned out on studying the same subject for the whole year; also with this method for about a hundred bucks you will have about four years of science covered. I love these books because they present a formal study of science, with the vocabulary words and quizzes and all that, but it also has fun experiments the kids enjoy, and it's all from a Christian perspective. Highly recommended!!

We love this book, the lessons are easy to teach, the experiments actually work (just did the barometer one awesome)and the built in review is a plus not to mention giving glory to God for His wonderful world.

I absolutely love this book! I am using Apologia's physical science with my two older children and was trying to follow along with my two younger children so we could all learn the same thing. Needless to say it was not working, until I found this book. It was everything I hoped it would be and I like the fact that I can add other literature if I so choose. Also, the activities are fun and easy!I can't wait until next year when my older two are using Apologia's Biology and my younger two can use Christian Kids Explore Biology!

This is an easy-to-use, fun science course for elementary students. One of the best features is the hands-on activity in every lesson, which is great for my wiggly 8 year old. My son also enjoys making a folder book at the end of each unit, to show what he remembers learning. It's like a stress-free quiz. Although the text is in black and white (no color photos), the author recommends reading other science books to further the student's knowledge of the topics covered, which we do. I hope other homeschooling families enjoy this course as much as my son and I did.
