Tell us a little about yourself. I'm a missionary kid, and grew up in Kenya where this book is set. After high school, I came back to the states, went to Wheaton, then Penn State, then married a Canadian. Adjusting to being a North American housewife and mom wasn't easy, but God gave me good things to do.
Besides writing, I teach junior high Sunday school, train horses and teach riding lessons, and hike and canoe with my family.
What was your motivation behind this project? To give joy, also hope. I wanted to write about a man and a woman with very different ways of seeing the world. It was fun to set a book in Kenya and say something about the struggles there.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? Enjoyment (-:
The understanding that God does have a place for each of us no matter who we are or where we've come from.
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? Books I like? First the Bible, the root and core of my world. Favorite
authors? C.S.Lewis, J.R.R.Tolkein, Rudyard Kipling, Larry Niven, Dick
Francis and lots more.
