I guess it reflects my ignorance but I did not understand the words "covenant theology" when I ordered the book. I thought we're talking about the covenants God made with Noah and Abraham, etc. No. This book is a child's introduction into CALVINISM, no more and no less. If you're a Calvinist you'll be happy to see that now there are books for children which super-impose the Calvinist viewpoint unto the Bible. If you're not a Calvinist you'll want to stay away from this book.
Instead of "Discovering Jesus in Genesis", I suggest the book should be called "Interpreting Calvinism into Genesis".

This book is awesome. It uses a story format to introduce children to covenant values of the Bible. There is a memory verse for each story, along with questions at the end. This is very well written. Your children will have a good understand of God's covenant with us, His deep love for us, and how we can show that love to others. Highly recommended!
