Worship should never be a boring thing. The idea of worship, the practice of worship, none of it should ever get boring. And if you're at all like me, who felt a little tired of the same ol' same ol' in worship (especially for musicians on a team) then you should definitely grab this book. It captured my heart to how incredible our God is.

This book is great. In a day and age when it seems that worship is about us and what God has done for us, this book is a breath of fresh air! To fully realize who God is and his "otherness" we come to face up to His holiness and find ourselves truly facedown before a holy God who deserves our worship, adoration, and fear. Thank you Matt Redman for putting this in perspective for me and our worship team. We are using this as a weekly devotional with our entire worship team and growing closer to God through it's use.

I purchased this book after reading Mr. Redman's first written release, The Unquenchable Worshipper. It can be read alone or as a continuation of what I believe is second in the series. All throughout the chapters in this book, the author encourages the people of God to praise with the bowing of their hearts before the throne. He uses the example of how falling prostrate in a physical sense reflects the inward choice to worship, giving our lives as living sacrifices for His glory. In one of the chapters, Mr. Redman speaks on reserving words and thinking of new words to use only when worshipping Him. What a thought! I've been encouraged to look up words in the dictionary to desribe who He is to me ~ to bless Him in praise. Can't wait to read the third!

WOW, WOW Worship! This devotional gets right to the heart of worship, facedown, in awe of our mighty God! It presents a picture of how God wants to be worship based on scripture. Looking at the Old Testament and observing how God was worshipped when worship began. Few of our churches worship in this way anymore. This devotional brings to our attention what is missing in most worship services, worship. Too many Christians look to church for entertainment, not enlightenment and have lost the awe and reverance in entertainment. Worship is not for the worshipper! It is for almighty God and what we bring to it, whether it be marking time until the service is over or completely surrendering ourselves in facedown (physically or in our hearts)to the praise and worship of our Glorious King, bringing Him honor and glory and praise, is what worship is about. This book brings all that worship should be to our attention. Thank you Matt Redman for your explaination and understanding of what worship at it's best should be!
