Tell us a little about yourself. I've been married to a beautiful woman for 25
years. I have a 20 year old son and an 18 year
old daughter. I am a full time author and
speaker as well as the executive director of
Better Dads--a non-profit organization. We
provide seminars and workshops for men on
fathering and authentic masculinity. We also
present very popular seminars around the
country for single moms titled, Courageous
Moms--Raising Boys to Become Good Men.
What was your motivation behind this project? This book was a labor of love for me. I find so
many men who struggle with authentic
masculinity. They yearn for it, and are blessed
with lives of significance and contentment
when they start living it. Unfortunately, our
culture seldom provides or encourages a
good model of it.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? I hope it will inspire men to become the kind of
fathers and husbands that God intended. So
many of us men are unsure of our fathering
skills, especially those who were not fortunate
enough to have a good role model growing
up.
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? Stu Weber, John Eldredge, Steve Farrar, Ken
Canfield, Michael Gurian, Chuck Colson, and
thousands of other authors.
