Tell us a little about yourself. I am a journalist who hosts the Christianity website for About.com. I've worked full time in ministry since 1988 serving in several capacities including missionary, Assistant to the Pastoral Staff, Administrative Assistant and Office Manager. My husband and I are members of Calvary Chapel St. Petersburg. In addition to managing my website, I currently work on special projects including writing and editing for my senior pastor.
What was your motivation behind this project? Years ago, the Lord gave my pastor a vision for a book that would testify of God’s amazing grace and faithfulness in the lives of His people. As the Lord built our church fellowship at Calvary Chapel St. Petersburg, it was exciting to see many people come to salvation through Jesus Christ. It was an even greater privilege to witness the changes in their lives through the Holy Spirit’s power. When Pastor Danny asked me to help put these real-life testimonies in print, I was thrilled to serve as general editor for the project and author of five of the stories. This book is the fruit of Pastor Danny's vision.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? Readers will follow the journeys of 20 ordinary men and women who were changed at the cross of Calvary when they met an extraordinary Savior, Jesus Christ. An alcoholic, a drug dealer, an unwed mother, a convicted felon, and a woman tormented by pain—each will share how their life was changed in a miraculous way. These are just a few of the stories to unfold as hopes are restored, dreams are renewed, and fears are overcome. Our collective prayer is that readers will be lifted by the hope and assurance they discover within the pages of this book and become compelled to pass it on.
