Students will become active participants as they learn the craft of writing poems, how to use a rhyming dictionary, how great writers use figures of speech, ten powerful tropes, and even when to break the rules of poetry.
Thirty lessons provide instruction with student activities for every chapter, riddles to solve, poetry reading integration, and real-life examples. This course was designed for one semester at the 6th-9th grade level, but could be used by anyone with basic writing skills who wishes to learn poetry.
