Excellent book. The chapters are very well written and very thought provoking. The study guide is a great review and learning tool as well. Extremely highly recommended for anyone who is seeking a deeper relationship with God.

I've owned this book for at least several years and only got around to reading it this past month. My loss. The truths perceptively delivered by Mr. Packer in this book could have profited me these past few years. But all is not lost as my faith and understanding is strengthened for the future by the wisdom in its pages. Mr. Packer pulls no punches and does not let one off with sloppy theology or facile thinking; he meticulously lays out the truth with great persuasion.
This book is not one that is read in a single sitting. It will take time and contemplation to complete it, but the journey is worth the commitment.
