Acts stands as one of the most important books in the New Testament. It records the actions of the Church and serves as a textbook example for the Church today. It records the promise and delivery of the Holy Spirit, and the effect of that supernatural power on the spread of the gospel. Ajith Fernando gives us a masterful commentary that discusses the importance of Acts and its benefits for us today.
Acts, which is part of the NIV Application Commentary Series, helps readers learn how the message of Acts can have the same powerful impact today that it did when Luke first wrote it.

Outstanding combination of a practical, useful, and inspiring treatment of the text as well as providing an analysis of important academic and technical issues. Great job by a fine Christian scholar and minister.

The author combines his first rate reformed education with his personal experience of planting churches as a missionary in his native land, and that gives him a wonderful perspective in interpreting the Word and making it applicable.
