Teri Moreno went to Maui hoping to start one special relationship. But romance takes a complicated twist when the Spanish teacher from Glenbrooke, Oregon, finds herself enjoying the attentions of three men: the handsome marine biologist who called her back to the islands; a charming old crush from high school; and a clumsy, endearing Australian with a wild past.
Swept up by her feelings, yet determined to make the right choice, Teri makes powerful discoveries about God's law and His grace in this new release of Whipsers, now book two in the heartwarming Glenbrooke series from Robin Jones Gunn.
From the Trade Paperback edition.
Jeannie DonaldsonStatesboro, GAAge: 55-65Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5A Wonderful Story!June 29, 2013Jeannie DonaldsonStatesboro, GAAge: 55-65Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I have come to expect good stories from Robin Jones Gunn, and was not disappointed in this book. It was full of romance, fun & laughter, interesting characters and situations, and a great ending - all the things I love in a book. I even laughed out loud a few times. I just LOVE Robin's sense of humor, which is displayed in all her books that I have read.
The people were so real to me. I sympathized with Teri's situation; her desire to be married, and her hunger to obey God. I hoped along with Annie for a healthy pregnancy and safe delivery. I got a real kick out of Teri's mom and grandma! And Gordon kept me entertained and surprised throughout the whole book. (I think he was my favorite character).
This is truly a wonderful story and I feel it would be enjoyed by women and teens alike.
Kirsty5 Stars Out Of 5August 2, 2008KirstyI love Whispers!! I think that Gordon and Teri are perfect for each other, even though he is like, 10 years older than her. They compliment each other perfectly. I hate Scott, he was really self-centered, but i love the fact that he was one of Rick's best friends. I also love Teri's sister, and how she was finally able to have her baby, and i just love the whole story-line. Well done, RJN!
