This is an amazing bible! Like many people I have several bibles, but this one just feels so good in my hands. The renaissance leather cover is so soft and the beautiful pages themselves seem to come alive. It is a real joy to use this bible. It quickly became my primary study bible. I use it every day. Through this bible, I have learned so much about history and the actual site photographs are wonderful. I highly recommend it to those who are visual in their studying of the bible.

Beautiful bible. Everything we expected. We are planning to buy more for Christmas and wedding gifts. So much information you could get lost in this bible for hours.

So far this Bible looks great! Filled with history and very informative. My only issue is that it does not explain the sidenote section well - it can be a little confusing. Otherwise, fantastic purchase!

Beautiful, luxurious, a really special edition. I am very pleased. The study notes and informative articles are really helping me to understand scripture within its historical context. I am connecting the readings to my modern day life and I find that I am generally growing stronger spiritually. It is a real joy to read!

Absolutely beautiful. Will definately last me for years to come. Has lots of interesting facts and pictures throughout. Has some weight to it (in more than one way!). I don't think you'll find a better price anywhere else.

I just ordered this and have yet to really dive in and explore. This review is based solely on the look and feel of this Bible, and for that I give it 4 stars. The leather cover of the Renaissance edition is soft and beautiful and really makes this Bible special to hold. The printing and illustrations are beautiful and easy to read, and the notes I've read so far are insightful and very helpful. This would make a wonderful gift for someone special, and you can't beat Christianbook.com's price. I saved $40 off the retail price of my local store by ordering online, and it was worth every penny of the $65 I paid here. I am looking forward to really getting into this edition over the summer, and I expect it to become a treasured family keepsake. My only concern is the thinness of the cover. I hope it can hold up well over time.

A great study bible with intriguing insight into the time(s) the book(s) were written. Large, but very "carry-able" with a very soft leather cover.

Content: 5 star. It is surprising how often a note on history or cultural context clarifies a passage. My only regret on the content is that there aren't more notes, although I don't know how you could fit any more in...
Binding: 1 star. Renaissance Fine Leather looks and feels awful. Set it down on a pencil, and you'll have a dent for a week. Thin, creases - I'll never own another Bible bound in it!
