Fantastic Bible! Very informative, and the pictures are wonderful. This is a great buy for a family - everyone gets something out of it!

I find this Bible very interesting. I would like it even better if the notes were in larger print, but as a whole I am very satisfied with it.

It brings in some information from outside the scripture, but I wish it did more with social customs, behaviors and practices as determined by archeology

A great bible full of wonderful knowledge. The large print is not that large as one would think. If they would make it into a software so I can increase the size of the letters. I would buy it.

If biblical studies cannot be back up with archaeological proof it value is much less. The new approach to indepth Biblical studies it to have archaeological confirmation. This is what most good authors have done the past ten years. Sorry to say most people want to hear what they have always hered. If we keep on hearing what we have always heardd, we will keep on knowing what we ALREADY KNOW

I LOVE this Bible! The historical placement of events and archaeological information bring greater understanding to familiar and less-familiar passages. My one disappointment is the print size ~ I thought "Large Print" would be larger :o)

I am enjoying this book on my dinning room table. It is interesting to read, but very heavy to hold. I can read it well with the large sized print

I was a little surprised that there were not more pictures of architecture in the book, however, there seems to be quite a bit of written description, so perhaps that makes up for it.
The thing that caught my husband's eye was that the book was damaged. It was either dropped or mishandled in some way that caused a couple of "dents" in the edge of the cover near the spine. We plan to give this as a gift so we are going to give the seriousness of this damage a little more consideration before we decide if we are going to return it for a replacement.
