Product DescriptionLearn how to present the cross of Christ to youth in a meaningful, life-transformational way. Andrew Root's novel approach to empowering youth leaders in A Theological Journey Through Youth Ministry series takes the form of literal novels. In Taking the Cross to Youth Ministry, the second book in the series, Dr. Root presents relatable fictional characters in realistic situations to illustrate common weaknesses in youth ministries. Ross continues the theological journey with Nadia, a youth worker, providing leaders with sound suggestions to present the foolishness of the cross (1 Corinthians 1:18). The narrative is not light - Root asks hard questions driving at the purpose, impact and paradigm guiding your ministry. He directly addresses the ontological struggles of teenagers - their struggle with the meaning of existence - and the impact of sole emphasis on justification through the cross without the revelation of God's character to humanity at the cross. "The cross is the doorway into the very heart of God."
