krcs320995 Stars Out Of 5I Love this Bible!December 5, 2014krcs32099Even though it's heavy, I love to carry this Bible with me to church and read all the versions of the passage for the service. Oftentimes it helps me to better understand what the passage is saying. I also use it in reading through the Bible in the different versions and when a passage is perplexing to me, I read what it says in the others. Much easier than pulling out 4 different Bibles. I enjoy it so much I got one to give a friend for a gift! The only way it would be better is if it had an index of some sort.

The very best! I was surprised at the durability of the bonded leather, which was my only concern, for such a large volume. I know it's big, but I love carrying it with me and digging deeper. I have an old parallel containing KJV/LB/NIV/RSV that I also consider a powerhouse of the "classic" versions. I love both and use both daily. Thanks for a great product! Would like to see this available in genuine leather and Smyth sewn for maximum durability, with some maps included.

It has been a wonderful blessing to me to have a scripture touch me or someone else in a more personal way when reading in a different translation. For instance 2 Timothy 3:16 NIV I use when I speak about the Bible, but the same scripture in NLT seems to make it more personal for me and many I work with.
VickyDothan, AlabamaAge: 35-44Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5High quality and organized wellSeptember 29, 2013VickyDothan, AlabamaAge: 35-44Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I have owned this for a few weeks and it is greatly enhancing my study time. I read several of the same verses out of each translation (along with a KJV on the side) and it is really helping me understand the Bible better. Sometimes what I miss in one translation I get in another. This Bible also has notes that help further elaborate things such as the value of money, etc. I ordered the leather version with initials. I am pleased with this purchase and will use it for many years!
Q: Are the words of Christ in red lettering?
No, all of the versions in this Bible are in black-letter text.
Q: How large is this Bible and how small is the print? I love the idea of having the translations that I use the most, and my pastor has recently started reading from the Message Bible, but my fear is the size and print of this Bible. Will it be too cumbersome with having the four translations to carry to church and is the print so small, that I will need a magnifying glass to read it?
This Bible is 9.25" X 6.25" X 2.25" and is printed in 8 point text, which is the average print size for a Bible.
Q: Is the NIV version 2011 or 1984?
This Bible is the 2011 translation of the NIV.
Q: Which edition of the NLT is used? First (1996) or second (2004)?
The 2007 edition is used in this Bible.
